The Cook Islands have a long history of traditional Arts that are as much an integral part of their culture as their song and dance. From the ceremonial decoration that adorned their Ocean Voyaging Canoes , tools and war weapons to the art of Tattoo, and more recently the creation of Tivaevae (quilting) ,the weaving of Hats ,baskets and fans they have a vibrant commitment that these traditional arts will not be lost .
